'Go Getters'
We are pleased to introduce our new ‘Go Getters’ guide.
The ‘Go Getters’ guide has been designed to encourage children and families to think about learning beyond the classroom. Our guide is carefully tailored to each specific year group and contains a range of activities, skills, and practical tasks that support your child’s development in a fun and engaging way.
The activities focus on key life skills to promote independence, resilience, curiosity, communication, and support problem-solving skills. They are intended to be flexible and enjoyable, allowing children to complete them at home, outdoors, or in the local community. Many tasks can be easily woven into everyday family life and do not require specific resources or equipment.
There is no pressure to complete every activity. Instead, the booklet is there to inspire conversation, exploration, and shared learning experiences. Children are encouraged to work through the activities at their own pace, celebrating their efforts and achievements along the way. Staff within school are eager to hear about the progress the children are making towards the activities and tasks and welcome opportunities to talk with them about their learning experiences outside the classroom.
We believe that learning happens everywhere, not just in school, and the ‘Go Getters’ guide is one way we can strengthen the partnership between home and school to support your child’s growth and confidence.
Thank you for your continued support. We hope you and your child enjoy exploring the ‘Go Getters’ challenges together.
